The Hummer is an mix between a recreational vehicle and a military tank. It was specially engineered by AM General Corporation for the USA armed forces. Its body is aluminum which makes it light and corrosion resistant. The motor is V8, 6.5L Diesel Turbocharged, Electronically Controlled with 195 HP. A diesel engine delivers more power at lower engine speeds, giving the driver control in off-road environments. The Transmission is 4-speed automatic with a maximum torque rating of 430 lb.-ft

This is widely regarded as the best and most durable four-speed transmission ever designed. The automatic transmission not only makes the Hummer easy to drive, but it also allows smooth transition of power for improved off-road mobility. Over time, it monitors your driving technique and adjusts to your driving style. The transfer case enables you to customize the drive train configuration to match virtually any terrain. It features two gear ranges, high and low, with two differential conditions.

The Hummer features a four-wheel, long travel double-A-arm coil spring suspension with large-diameter hydraulic shock absorbers inside the coils for added protection in harsh environments. The front suspension incorporates a large stabilizer bar for even better handling and reducing sway in turns. Together with the wheel and tire assembly, the Hummer's suspension system provides a comfortable ride on even the roughest terrain.

It is designed to deal with any climate as proved by Tony at -60°C in Hummer and 80cm of snow and 56°C at the Sahara. It can climb up to 34° and has a system that permits to control the tire air pressure from inside the cabin or maintain a flat tire going.

Its individual suspension on each tire plus the automatic transmission makes it seem more like a recreational vehicle than a truck The inside cabin is big and comfortable and can handle up to 4 tons of cargo.

Tony's Hummer is an attraction itself. It has Global positioning system that shows current position, altitude and speed; satellite phone system and computer system to send and receive emails. On the roof rack it has enough fuel to travel 1500 km and nitrogen filled suspension and if this weren't enough the body is completely armored..!!
